The Luminaria website describes the event as “a manifestation of the city’s cultural riches” and indeed it is.  The annual event is a celebration of art and artists and it showcases artwork in its many forms.  This year’s event will be March 13 and will include exhibitions in various downtown venues; special art events will also be held throughout the city in conjunction with San Antonio’s Contemporary Art Month Celebration.  Admission is free.  For more information, visit www.luminaria.org or call (210)207-6960.
