4th Annual Fest of Tails
Saturday, March 20 2010, 10:00am - 3:00pm

“Fest of Tails”, the annual family and dog friendly event produced by Friends of the Parks, returns to McAllister Park on Saturday, March 20th, and welcomes kite and dog enthusiasts from near and far. Free and open to the public, the event features something for every member of the family, including music, arts and crafts, a pooch parade, and a sky full of multihued kites!

Fest of Tails was initiated by Friends of the Parks to demonstrate to the local community first-hand how much fun a family day in the park can be, and to increase awareness of our ever-growing San Antonio parks system through community involvement.  Marcie Ince, President of Friends of the Parks, says, “There is no simple pleasure that is shared with family and friends greater than the simple act of flying a kite. We are looking forward to everyone enjoying the festival as well as a beautiful day in McAllister Park.”
